About Me

I was reared in a Christian home with two brothers and one sister. I attended church for as long as I can remember. My childhood was, I guess you could say, “normal”. It was very uneventful.

During my junior year of high school I met Darrell Parks. My father insisted he go to church with me if he intended to date me. So, since he thought that would be an extra day a week that he could spend time with me, he said yes. During that time, he came to trust Christ as his Savior and the story began….

We were married in December after graduating high school in May of the same year. We were so much in love and enjoyed spending every moment possible with each other.

After attending a revival together one evening, he announced to me that he felt the Lord was calling him to preach. To my surprise, I had felt the same thing at the same time. We enjoyed a thirty-five year ministry together pastoring smaller churches and eventually being involved in an interim pastorate role.

After numerous health problems, my beloved Darrell passed away suddenly on September 25, 2010. Darrell was such a powerful influence in my life, I didn’t know how it would be possible to make it without him. After a period of lots of crying and despair I began to ask “why” and “what now.” I asked the Lord, “What could I do with the rest of my life that will make a difference?”

Through much prayer and encouragement of friends and family, I feel God is calling me to minister to women in a number of different ways. I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do through me.
